It's been almost a decade since I watched it last. I read the book after the first time watching it starting on 9/11/01. I remember being in Dead Man's Flats outside of Canmore Alberta when the show cut to live footage of the towers. I read the book by Ambrose after watching the series. I remember feeling inspired by the bravery of the men in the story.
Now, I feel sad. All I see is a wasteful brother war. The Americans were fooled into fighting a war that wasn't theirs.
Watching Sobel with what I know now adds a new sadistic layer into the story.
