We lost one of our pack this week, Zoey, the little female. She had an odd place in the pack. She deferred to my female lab, Jagerin, early in when she tried to gank the Jag's food and got bit on the neck, picked up, and thrown for her efforts. Ever since then Zoey followed Jag around followed her lead. Then there's Gizmo the double dapple dachshund. He was always beta to Zoey who cleaned him like a momma cleans her puppies.
I brought Zoey home from the vet. I asked them to arrange her like she was sleeping before rigor mortis sat in and they did an amazing job. I put her on the kitchen floor and unzipped her bag so Jag and Gizmo could maybe somehow understand she's gone. Gizmo kind of puffed his cheeks like I've seen dogs do that's attributed to crying. Jag just sniffed her and went away.
To me it looks like they just reordered the pack. I don't know what I expected but I guess I've watched too many videos of dogs in deep grief after their owners or mates die. I'm half disappointed and half relieved they aren't looking like they're experiencing much grief.
I enjoy work trips. They remind me I still have fire in the belly and women find me attractive. I also am in a personal development arc.
Being in sales you have to have a certain level of hutzpah. I'm rediscovering that level of attitude of abundance I lost when I became a dad.
This attitude of abundance carries over into all domains of my life. Sales are up, lucrative deals are dropping into my lap almost weekly now. Wherever I go I'm connecting with women showing interest. Even my soon to be ex wife is doing a 180 on her shitty attitude and cunty behavior trying to repair things.
